The JVA has a lot of education for club directors looking to build a facility or purchase/ease a facility, so we encourage you to join our network of Club Directors, Coaches and Administrators all over the country. The reason we started this blog is because there is not much out there on the internet about starting and running a volleyball facility and more and more clubs are looking to do so as they grow and need their own place to call home. We have an upcoming webinar on March 11th that is focused on this topic. Here is an answer to help you, provided by Rick Butler, a long time JVA Club Director from Sports Performance Volleyball in Chicago, IL<br />"40-45 parking spots for every competition court is a solid number. We have 500 spots plus street parking for 12 courts and there are times that we get very crowded. So 120-140 spots if the facility plans on hosting events."<br />Hope this helps!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18407495005897404503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-75937777667464562332014-08-20T16:51:08.645-07:002014-08-20T16:51:08.645-07:00What do you consider "Good Parking" for ...What do you consider "Good Parking" for a 3 court facility?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11600704472663404238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-25211158835300006842014-06-09T18:54:01.706-07:002014-06-09T18:54:01.706-07:00Danny - that's great that your club is growing...Danny - that's great that your club is growing and you are looking at a facility. There are many perks to having your own facility, however there are also additional responsibilities that are added to your plate. We do offer many resources for our members in our club director resource library that include budgeting and financing a facility. Many of our members have shared their knowledge and experience to build this library. Our newsletter this month should include an article from one of our members on his club's 20+ years of experience utilizing local schools rather than leasing a facility, and the benefits of this situation. If you are not yet a JVA member join our organization, we'd love to have your voice and help your club in any way we can. members@jvavolleyball.orgAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18407495005897404503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-79831589914945172452014-06-09T06:10:38.822-07:002014-06-09T06:10:38.822-07:00Briana,

We belong to a home school competitive volleyball team, and a club team, currently practicing in schools, & church buildings. There is a church building for sale along the freeway, & thought about getting investors to start. I would love to gut the facility (haven't seen the inside, but it's brand new warehouse looking), & make it into a volleyball facility. Do you have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts? Thanks for this blog! PS - I also wanted to combine basketball/volleyball since they could use the same type of flooring. :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05184936634411642212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-17781352197957128902012-12-02T23:06:55.471-08:002012-12-02T23:06:55.471-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15156381582087644558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-27152205071618603772012-11-28T23:16:56.585-08:002012-11-28T23:16:56.585-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15156381582087644558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755133000351698688.post-73700072171201532122012-08-28T22:58:01.491-07:002012-08-28T22:58:01.491-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12173738805642027518noreply@blogger.com
